Configuration for Antminer S21 for Bitcoin Mining

The Antminer S21 is a powerful ASIC miner for Bitcoin, offering a hash rate of 200Th/s with about 3500W power use. To mine efficiently, proper configuration is essential.

In this guide, we’ll walk through setting up the Antminer S21, from detecting its IP address to connecting it to a mining pool and starting Bitcoin mining.

1. Find the IP Address

You’ll need the miner’s IP to access its settings:

  • IP Scanner: Use a free tool like Advanced IP Scanner to detect it.

  • Router Panel: Log into your router and check the connected devices.

2. Access the Web Interface

Open the miner’s IP in your browser. You’ll see a login screen.

  • Username: root

  • Password: root

Once logged in, the miner dashboard (Web GUI) will appear.

3. Update the Firmware

It’s important to keep your firmware updated:

  1. Go to the System tab in the dashboard.

  2. Visit Bitmain’s official site to check for the latest firmware.

  3. If needed, download and upload it in the dashboard.

  4. Tick “Keep settings” and click Update.

The miner will reboot with updated software.

4. Add a Mining Pool

To start mining:

  1. Choose a pool on MiningPoolStats.

  2. Sign up on the pool’s site (e.g., viaBTC.com).

  3. Copy the pool address.

  4. Paste it in your miner’s Pool Settings.

  5. Set a Worker Name and password.

  6. Click Save.

5. Start Mining Bitcoin

The miner will begin mining shortly:

  • Check the dashboard to confirm status.

  • If inactive, try restarting the miner.

  • Monitor performance and hash rate.

Power Tip: The Antminer S21 uses ~3500W, make sure your setup can handle the load.
